About Dr Braid

Dr Josephine Braid is an experienced Rehabilitation Physician managing a wide range of conditions requiring rehabilitation.


She is committed to a high standard of care using using evidence based medicine and a patient-centred holistic approach.

Jo graduated from medical school at the University of Nottingham, UK, in 2002, and completed her Fellowship in Rehabilitation Medicine in Sydney in 2009. This included in depth training in traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury and amputee rehabilitation.

She is a fellow of the Australasian Faculty of Rehabilitation Medicine and a member of the Rehabilitation Medicine Society of Australia and New Zealand.  From 2009 to 2012 she was a Consultant Rehabilitation Physician at St Vincent’s Hospital, Sydney, the Mater Hospital, North Sydney and Westmead Private Hospital, Westmead.


She is currently a Senior Lecturer in Medicine at CSU and Consultant Rehabilitation Physician at Bathurst Health Service for the Mid Western Brain Injury Rehabilitation Program as well as consulting from the Bloomfield Medical Centre in Orange.
